Molding Expertise Across 100+ Resins
Viant Upland specializes in injection molding and finished device assembly for medical programs that involve demanding materials, complex geometries, and tight tolerances. The site has built deep expertise across more than 100 resins, with particular strength in high-heat, high-performance materials like PEEK, Radel, and PEI — the kind of work where material behavior and process control directly affect device performance.
Programs span drug delivery, diagnostics, interventional, and surgical technologies. And molded components, insert and overmolded parts, and finished device assemblies move through cleanroom production, secondary operations, and sterile packaging on-site, supported by an on-site tool room and dedicated automation cells.
Located in Southern California within easy reach of med device and life sciences companies across Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, and Riverside counties, the facility has been producing medical devices since 1988.

| Core Capabilities | Our Approach | What it Means For You |
|---|---|---|
| Program Management | Program management support grounded in EPMO and PMBOK® best practices, with Lean and Six Sigma principles embedded throughout. Viant’s team aligns to program goals, proactively manages risk, and maintains clear communication at every stage. | Clear ownership and proactive risk management from kickoff through delivery that supports audit readiness. |
| Injection Molding | Injection molding operations support a range of part complexities and production volumes, including single-shot, insert molding, overmolding, and high-temperature applications. Integrated tooling and on-site mold-making capabilities enable consistent performance and repeatability. | Components requiring advanced materials and complex geometries are produced with the process discipline your resins demand. |
| Secondary Operations | Pad printing, inking, ultrasonic welding, plastic laser marking, and annealing. | Value-added steps happen on-site and in sequence, keeping programs moving without outside coordination. |
| Automated & Manual Assembly | Dedicated automation cells with integrated conveyance systems process work across multiple stations at high throughput rates. Both automated and manual assembly configurations are tailored to program requirements. | Tight tolerances, consistent edge geometry, and repeatable performance at production volumes. |
| Materials Expertise | Injection molding capabilities include single-shot, insert molding, overmolding, and high-temperature applications, supported by a fleet of presses across a range of tonnages and integrated on-site tooling. | Materials are selected and processed to meet application-specific requirements, helping ensure performance, consistency, and manufacturability at scale. |
| Metrology & Inspection | OGP Vision Systems and Zeiss CMM for dimensional and functional inspection. | Parts are verified to spec before moving downstream, supporting consistent quality across high-SKU production. |
| Packaging & Sterilization Management | Sterile barrier packaging including Tyvek pouches, trays, form fill seal, pouch sealing, and shrink wrap. ETO and gamma sterilization management. UDI/GS1 compliant labeling. | Finished devices are packaged and sterilization-ready without leaving the controlled environment. |
