Shipping & Receiving Arthrex Distribution Team


The Shipping and Receiving Team Member is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping customer orders following guidelines, procedures, and policies as instructed by team lead.


  • Perform shipping and receiving activities, prepares items for shipment, and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
  • Prepare required department records and reports
  • Provide assistance and on-the-job-training of new employees and cross-training current employees
  • Participate and provide input for process improvement programs
  • Communicate with appropriate personnel any potential shortages and backorders
  • Notify team lead of any inventory discrepancies
  • Transfer materials from receiving area to stock areas
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Minimum of 1 year inventory control or shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Written and oral communications skills sufficient to speak clearly and distinctly, write compound and complex sentences, and read simple instructions in English
  • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Expanded basic arithmetic calculations (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals)
  • Common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
  • Good judgment in investigating and resolving problems
  • Ability to maintain neat, orderly work area


  • High school diploma or GED


  • Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous day-to-day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature (lifting 60 pounds/carrying 40 pounds)
  • Moderate lifting, carrying, bending, pushing/pulling, climbing, and prolonged standing
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and material
  • Ability to judge distance and spatial relationships (i.e. visualize objects of multiple dimensions)


  • Standard office computer, pallet jack, and fork lift


  • Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as:
    • Preparing and analyzing data and figures
    • Transcribing
    • Viewing a computer screen
    • Extensive reading
    • Visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operating machines
    • Using measurement devices
    • Assembly or fabrication of parts at distance close to the eyes


  • Well-lighted, air-conditioned, indoor laboratory/production setting with adequate ventilation
