Engineering Technician


  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facilities
  • Design and manage content and changes to labels from initiation to implementation
  • Assist in executing test protocols

  • Keep manufacturing equipment and devices operational; keep systems and building ready for use by:
    • Completing preventive maintenance schedules
    • Coordinating and overseeing building contractors
    • Maintaining maintenance records
    • Following policies and procedures
    • Completing repairs and installing replacement parts
    • Reporting needed changes
  • Generate, review, and modify periodic maintenance (PM) procedures, work instructions, spare part requests, purchase requisitions, facility work orders, etc.
  • Assist manufacturing staff daily in monitoring operating equipment, troubleshooting problems and inefficiencies, and recommending possible solutions
  • Perform testing per engineering protocols; record equipment used and results achieved in verification test reports
  • Design, develop, and modify all product labeling, ensuring labels meet the latest specifications
  • Assist with graphics- and artwork-related aspects of projects
  • Help resolve quality issues related to labeling
  • Participate in projects to streamline the label printing/development process and minimizing and eliminating defects
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • 2 to 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance or similar job role
  • Basic electronics knowledge and skills
  • Experience with graphic design and label printing technology preferred
  • Working knowledge of quality system requirements
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience working in a production facility or cleanroom a plus
  • Working knowledge of common shop tools, meters and test equipment, and a general understanding of how things work mechanically
  • Basic knowledge of electronics components, theory, and measurement methods; must be able to use electrical devices such as multimeter, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in graphic design software applications and label printing technology preferred
  • Detail oriented and ability to exercise good judgment in problem solving
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings
  • Ability to communicate problems and to effect corrective action
  • Demonstrated positive attitude with respect to changes in processes and methods
  • Ability to maintain high standards of quality
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously


  • Office equipment, common power and hand tools, measurement devices, and basic electrical devices


  • Associate degree in engineering technology or equivalent military experience preferred


  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous, day-to-day activities of a primarily administrative nature
  • Moderate lifting (20 pounds), carrying (10 pounds), bending, squatting, and prolonged sitting
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors
  • Ability to judge distance and spatial relationships (i.e. visualize objects of multiple dimensions)


  • Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as:
    • Preparing and analyzing data and figures
    • Transcribing
    • Viewing a computer screen
    • Extensive reading
    • Visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operating machines
    • Using measurement devices
    • Assembly or fabrication of parts at distance close to the eyes


  • Well-lighted, air-conditioned, indoor laboratory/production setting with adequate ventilation
